The posings of a poet.

Nursery Crimes

One, Two
Buckle my shoe
I’d rather be barefoot
Wouldn’t you?
Three, Four
Shut the door
Wouldn’t you like
to play some more?
Five, Six
Pick up sticks
Now you’re talking
I know those tricks
Seven, Eight
Lay them straight
This is boring
I can’t relate.
Nine, Ten
A big fat hen.
That does it
I’ll not be back again.
