The posings of a poet.

Hawkings

I have seen a hawk harried by lesser birds just for being what he is
I have watched him bear the brunt of hate for taking what rightfully was his
Harrased, harangued and hurried from his simple perch
Some smaller minds it seems are always and ever on the search
For greater grander nobler beings which they compare and scorn
While the greatest soar above and wait out what must be borne
